As the weather warms up and Spring arrives, residents and visitors will find fun & exciting events here on Lake Travis. Local events are family friendly and feature live music, great food, games for the kids, vendors and more. Below are 3 of the biggest events.
Entering it’s 9th year, the Jonestown Cajun Fest has grown to one of the most popular events on the Lake Travis North Shore. The Jonestown Cajun Fest starts off with a parade and is followed by live Cajun & Zydeco music, plenty of crawfish, cajun cook-off, vendors, crawfish races, crawfish eating contest, reptile show and more!
Come by land or water to the largest music, art and food festival on the North Shore of Lake Travis. Festival entrance is free and is held in Bar K Park on Lake Travis in Lago Vista. Cap Metro provides continuous shuttle service during the event which allows visitors to not worry about parking and traffic.
Lago Vista 4th of July Celebration
Celebrate our nation’s birthday and freedom with this day long event. Activities start in the morning with the Firecracker 5K Run. This chip timed race also features a fun run. Shortly after the race the parade begins! Join the crowd along Dawn Drive and take-in the decorative floats, performers and more. Lastly, but certainly not least is the Freedom Festival. Attendees will find a fun day full of live music, food, games, hot dog eating contest and the best fireworks show over Lake Travis.
